Finally ;) The Nyx Doll Eye Volume mascara review!

I got this hot cruelty free mascara tip from Bela over at Belaland.

And I like it a lot. Unfortunately it don`t go all the way for me. I don`t know if I got an old mascara or if they are supposed to be like that, but mine felt at bit dry. With a more creamy texture this may have been one of the best mascaras I have tested. It for sure is the best cruelty free mascara I have tested so far. I liked the wand and it stays on all day long without smudging. The lashes feel soft and it`s easy to build volume but I can`t build proper length without getting too much volume for my liking.

I will use this one until it`s time to buy a new one. I am grateful for the tip and considering that Nyx mascaras don`t cost a lot this is a good buy.

I am still not well from my stupid cold... Yesterday I was super happy that I didn`t feel the fever anymore but as the dark evening sneaked up on me so did the fever and lots of snot! Ugh! I had not been snotty until now!

Today I have put on some make-up and dressed myself in normal (but comfy) clothes. I want to get back out in the world. I get crazy just lying on the sofa not doing anything. So later I think I will get myself out and shop for some necessities.

 

I have been thinking hard about what I want to do from my list this month and I decided on the

" Make your own cosmetic or make-up product ". I have been drooling over the bubble gum lip scrub from Lush. ( Found here.) But as I don`t have a lot of money left this month and I need to save up I thought I would make my own. It for sure is a product I need right now considering my lips are dry from the cold weather outside. 

 

After searching the net for good recipes I decided to make one for myself.

If you want to test it out yourself you will be needing this:

• a small container
• Sugar. Normal or brown. (I used the normal one because my brown sugar had turned itself into a brick in the carton!)
• Honey. (You can use oils of different kinds too, like almond or olive oil)
• Food coloring. You don`t need it. It`s just to give it some nice color. (Just guessing it will look best with the normal sugar ;))

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This morning I woke up with a gruesome headache. Remembering taking the last painkillers in the box last night made me desperate and I started searching through handbags and cupboards for "forgotten" painkillers. And luckely I found a box of aspirin that I bought some time ago for home made face masks.

Now the gruesome headache is gone and I have a aspirin face mask on! Yay!

If you want to make your own mask it is dead easy.

 

You let 3-5 aspirin dissolve in a little bit water. If they arent entirely dissolved you crush them with a spoon.

Mix a paste of them with honey. put it on your face an let it stay on for at least 15 minutes before you wash it away. All done.

 

The acetylsalicylic acid in the pill blended with the water becomes beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that is often used in commercial skin products. The beta hydroxy acid works as a mild chemical peel. It takes away dead skin cells, dirt and fat & leaves you with a clear and fresh skin. The honey works as an excellent moisturizer and in addition is antiseptic and antibacterial.

These recent days not much have happend. I have been working and tried to relax a bit with Christian. And two weeks ago we had a little one day trip to Gothenburg. I shopped some stuff on sale and from second hand shops. 

This tank top was half off. If I had a bit more money to spend I would have bought the Bathory hoodie they had too. 

 

 

When I got my mascara I also got the Sleek palette Sparkle 2. The palette was super nice just like the last one I bought. Nicely pigmented, glittering, cruelty free colors for almost nothing! 139 Swedish kr. Such a bargain.

 

 

 

Hi. I am wery tired after a super long day at work. But as the super woman I am, I am fixing this post for you. 

I  have got a new package ordered from Smink.net once again. The reason of yet an order was that my last mascara from Nyx didn`t work for me. I did not like the wand. Could not get the hold of my lashes and could not get any lenght or volume. The formula was ok though. It did not smudge or fall off the lashes and make me look lika a panda. This time I tried Sleeks mascara Lash out. I liked the wand but not the formula. The total oposite from Nyx.. It would not dry and because of that my lashes got stuck toghether... I don`t want spider legs around my eyes so I will be needing a new one soon. To bad it`s hard getting Gosh mascaras here in Sweden, heard a lot of good stuff about them. The search for a new good cruelty free mascara goes on!

 

  

 

 

So I finally got the Lime Crime goodies I ordered at the Black Friday sale.

And Wow! I am so happy. Just look at the color of this lipgloss. It`s perfection. The prettiest red I ever saw. I don`t think I have ever worn a more beautiful color on my lips. I can just imagine how it looks under some rays of sunlight. Right now I am glad just to have caught some daylight to show it off to you in.

I will be needing a lip liner though. It bleeds a tiny bit and it will show to well on my pale skin.

I also got the silver eyeliner. But I havent had the opportunety to try it yet. It looks good on the swatch I did on my hand at least! Maybe I will make a post about it later.

When the weather is cold and the inside air gets all dry I need my body lotions/butters almost every day. And in the search for good cruelty free produkts I have found several. My latest find is from Poison apple apothecary on etsy.com. They are just lovely. I love them even more than the body shops body butters. In comparance these don`t have that long lasting scent that makes it impossible to use your perfume at the same time. And it don`t leave you with that thick sticky residue that body butters usally do.

The scents are super nice and easy to like too.

Yesterday I ordered a new eyeshadow palette and a new mascara. I got it today directly into my mailbox! Can you belive how fast the shipping was? And the shipping was free too! Amazing! I will definitive shop at this newly found webshop again. The site is called Smink.net. They sadly for many of you just ship within Sweden, for now at least.

My old cruel mascara was all used up and ready to be tossed in the trash so it was a good thing I got it so fast. 

This time I bought Nyx Pin-Up Tease. I will let you know if it`s any good. I guess I will try it for the first time tomorrow after my workout. And yes! It is of course cruelty free like my new palette is too <3

Hi. Lying here in my sofa feeling a bit tired after last nights fun.

Their stuff is very expensive so I took the opportunity to buy some when they announced that they would have a Black Friday sale.

Yay! I am going out to dinner this Friday. How nice. I am going with my my parents in law and Christian. We are going to celebrate the fact that I am turning 30 next Monday. Can you belive how old I am. Old lady soon! 

I am for sure going to take the opportunity to wear heels and pretty clothes! 

When we are on the subject of pretty clothes! I am going to start sowing again. I have a skirt project planned and just maybe I can start it this weekend. Nice to finally have som creativety in my life again. I have also med a new head/hair thingy I will show you as soon as I get the time to shoot som proper photos of it.

 

 

Thought I woud show you a new hand lotion too. Found it at Lindex! I am addicted to this stuff at winter. I can`t stand dry hands, make me shiver and panic after a while. I tried It last night and I think it`s really good. Nice scent too & of course it´s cruelty free :)

 

 

I am so broke right now....

But I relly needed some other daily clensers than the Aqua Marina I got from Lush! It didn`t do the trick for me. I tried some of my old Cliniqe clensers after I had used it and I still got loads of shit on the cotton pad. Yuk!

So now I am going to try the Aco clensing mousse and mattefying toner. Aco is the pharmacy`s own brand and cruelty free :) Pretty cheap also compared to my old ones from Clinique... Let´s hope they are any good.
