Garden of eden

I thought I would show you witch eyeshadow palette I have been reaching out for almost every time since I got it this spring/summer!
As you maybe have understood I love, love, love Sleek`s eye shadows and I have quite a lot of their palettes. I just love that they are very affordable, have super nice pigmentation, pretty colors and are easy to work with. Not to forget they are also cruelty free ♥. My latest palette is called Garden Of Eden and I think I love it mostly because of all the shimmery colors. I cant help it but shimmer has become my favorite type of shadow over the passed year. I don`t use them for work but always when I have the day off or if I´m going out.

Daylight

I´m sorry for the fuzzy pictures, I was in an hurry to get ready and now the eyeshadows are super messy and would not be pretty on a picture...

In the light from a lamp.

Swatches in daylight

I have been eying their Arabian Night palette for a while and I think it will be my next one.
Have you tried Sleek´s eyeshadows?

Scarab

Lately I have been wanting to shop myself to death. I always seem to find irresistible stuff, especially when the money is low. And sadly my birthday and Christmas feels to far away!
One of the items I am so eager to get into my home is the other perfume from Illamasqua. I already have and love my Freak perfume and tend to use it for the more special occasions to save it. And now I really want the Freak Scarab Extrait witch is limited edition.
One is not particulary spoiled with cruelty free perfumes either...

TOP NOTES
Blood Orange, Neroli Absolute and Ylang Ylang awaken and entice the senses.

HEART NOTES
Davana Oil entwines with Egyptian Jasmine, Honeysuckle and Queen of the Night to form a sensual heart.

BASE NOTES

Don`t it just sound amazing!? It`s £85 witch is way to much for me at this moment :( Someone please buy it for me. You can get it at Illamasquas webshop ->here<-

Deep wine and bloody colors.

I have had such cravings for autumn colors and since not much has turned up in the stores yet I turned to the make up shelves to still my hunger. I got myself some new gorgeousness from the Swedish brand Isadora. They have lots of nice stuff, the only thing I`m not crazy about is their eyeshadow witch need a lot of primer and work to look good.
I just "needed" their Zinfandel lipstick and got it together with the lip pencil in the same color. And didn`t you know, a pair of pretty nail polishes fell into my shopping basket too. I fell for Purple Regin and Femme Fatale.
Since I could not get a good enough swatch of the lipstick I borrowed the picture from the inter webs!

It`s light in the formula and feels super nice on the lips. I only wish it had a bit more coverage, It really suits me though and maybe it`s because of the sheerness. I tend to look weird in too heavy and dark lipsticks. I can`t pull of black that`s for sure.
I only got a crappy iphone selfie to show you. I really need to start using my Canon for better quality portraits.

The polishes.

I have yet to wear Femme fatale (the red)  but the Purple regin has been on my nails since the weekend and Im not tired of it yet.

Silky skin

Last night I finally took some time to make more body butter. I have tried a couple of recipes before and this time I simplified it as much as I could.
Instead of melting a bunch of different butters together (shea, jojoba and such) and then whip them when they reaches exactly the precise consistency I only used coconut oil.  Coconut oil has in normal room temperature a soft buttery consistency witch is perfect to whip. The other recipes made a hard kind of butter that you had to rub a bit to melt. This one is much softer and melts mediately. Perfect!
You add some essential oils for fragrance if you like or let it be and it will smell just coconut. And then you just give it a go with a hand mixer or an kitchenaid! I think this stuff is brilliant for my dry winter skin. I use it after my showers in the evening and let it sink in over night. It is really good for your hands and feet too.
For now I will keep it in the fridge and when fall and winter is here I don`t see any troubles with having it on my nigh stand or in the bathroom. If it melts you only have to whip it again to fix it.

Let me know if you test it and what you think about the result!

Purple lips and green eyes

I can`t believe I have been away from my blog for such a long time. My plans are to continue writing and I feel a bit better these days so hopefully I can start blogging on a more regular basis.
So what is new since last time?
I have gotten an early start to my "high season working" witch means that I probably am working a bit more than 100% ! Ugh! I am trying to see the positive in it, more money!
My other half and I was on a small trip to Norway to visit my parents a couple of weeks ago. It was really nice and we even had an awesome day in Oslo with a bit of shopping and looking around.
And I have put myself on a detox. I had a lot of trouble with food lately and now I think I finally have it under control. I have even lost a bit of weight witch feels amazing. Maybe I soon can be able to wear some of my clothes again...I would love to wear those black jeans with zipper details I bought and never could wear!!! >.<
I have been shopping a tiny bit lately. Mostly make up with sensible price tags.
I have swatched it all today! Phew..
So here it is!

Lets start with the Viva la diva make up!
I have been looking at this brand for a long time but not gotten around to buying anything before now. They have really low prices and lots of fun colors. I went with a purple lipstick just because I love purple. I don`t know how much I will wear it out but I will certainly rock it at home. It is really pigmented and have a shimmery/metallic finish and smells like some kind of yummy berries. Maybe I can show it on my lips on a later post but at this time my lips aren`t in the best shape and it will not look good.

I also bought this colorful palette. Mostly I bought it because of the green witch is awesome in real life. You will notice there are a lot of green eyshadows coming up....I am on a mission to find the perfect one!

I was really surprised of how pretty they all looked on. Nice pigmentation and easy to work with.

When I got home I noticed that there where one more compartment in the palette!

The hidden colors where really nice too! I think they are supposed to be highlighter and bronzer? but will serve nice as eyeshadow on my pale skin.

Next is a bunch of Wet n wild make up I bought at the supermarket! I had a gift card and used it all on make up and not boring stuff as food ;)
I will start with the palette. As you can see I have been using it for a while already! It is perfect for my everyday make up at work when it can`t be heavy.  It`s not as pigmented as I would have liked but still a real great bargain. And I am crazy in love with the duocrome at the bottom right. It shifts between a pretty blue/grey/green? metallic shade and a pretty brown color.

By the way, all swatches are on a skin toned mineral primer from E.L.F!

I got these three singles

And these two eyeliner pencils.

Sadly my swatch on these are not the best but I think you get the idea. The brulee and Sugar single eyeshadows blends in with my primer and doesn`t really show.. The green Envy is super though! It don`t look good on the swatch but I probably will use this one a lot, Its a really pretty green with metallic in it. Big love!
The pencils are better than expected too. The dark one shows more like a army green in real life and I will use it as a eyeliner when I think black will be to hard looking.

My eyeliner from elf was near empty and going dry so I decided to try this dipliner from viva la diva too.

Here is more of the wet n wild i bought, powder. And a new foundation from Isadora.

As you can see the dipliner is nice and black and has a good soft tip/brush. It`s not the best i have tried ( I like the one from elf better) but will serve me good in my everyday use.
The foundation from Isadora is not a high cover one but with a bit of powder on top looks good . I am not a hundred 100% sure I got the best color for me even though I got help from a lady at the store. Next time I will try another brand anyways. (powder on the left and foundation on the right)

In Oslo I bought this Nyx palette at half off.

I am happy it didn`t cost me a fortune because I am not very impressed. I find this palette boring and all the colors look a bit grey. I don`t think they where easy to use either. Here they are packed on the primer. *yawn*

These eyeshadows from the brand Grimas looked so promising. They where also bought in Oslo. I didn`t have Internet on my phone so I could not look up if they where cruelty free  myself but the sales lady ensured my that they were. From what I can see from their web page they don`t test but that may be only the finished product so this was a guilty pleasure...

They didn`t look very highly pigmented on my swatch so I actually tried them with some water too.
They look so much better when used wet, with the exception from the matte green.
Dry on the left and with water on the right.

Last in line is the mascara from Lumene. I don`t know what made me try a new one...But it promised so much. Long and volumus lahes. Yes please. But is was nothing more than ok for me.

Weirdest wand ever. Looks like a dog chewed on it!

Building

I don`t know if you remember my search for a new cruelty free shampoo and conditioner that would work for my hair?! Anyways! I had such trouble with my hair that I gave up on it for a while and I went back to the old shit I was using. I don`t really know why but my hair just turned into a sticky mess and I didn`t want to go outside.
But when my friend Anna posted a pictures of her "before" and "after" hair on Facebook I felt it was about time to try again.
Anna had tried Faith in natures lavender and geranium and I went for exactly the same as it seemed like we had the same hair needs. And I am so happy I did. My hair feels amazing, so much softer and healthier. I can`t remember I ever had this soft hair!
I like the lavender scent but I think I will try the raspberry & cranberry the next time just because I usually like berry scents better. Most of the scent disappear after a little while so you don`t go around and reek like I felt I did with one of the hair products I tried out from Lush! A good thing if you like to wear perfume like me. Faith in nature is vegan, cruelty free, paraben & SLES free, contains no artificial colors or fragrances, is PH balanced and has a biodegradable bottles. Yay, what`s not to like.

I think I have got rid of my worst sugar craving this month and the eating healthy bit is really going well at the moment. I never have sleeping problems but I sleep even better now when I don`t consume as much sugar and alcohol. I have been working out at a regular basis and this is really helping my body and mind lighten up. My skin (acne) is almost all well again thanks to my birth control too! Such a relief. It feels good to be back in good routines. Maybe I can be as healthy, fresh and fit by the end of the year as I was on this pin up shoot!

This was my treat this evening. A new exiting vegetarian magazine with tons of food inspiration and a bowl of red currants and raspberries. Such luxury.

Freak

Finally my birthday gift arrived!!! The package arrived when I was at the gym and it felt like such a reward when I came home all super tired and hungry.
Everything about it is beautiful.
Just look at the packaging. The little window with a full moon behind the snail and the pretty drawing on the front, this is a box I definitly will save.

The bottle itself is pretty too.  And how about the snail! Cute!

I didn´t expect the perfume to be such a unisex scent. At first I only smelled aftershave but it soon developed into something else. Dark flowers and a kind of warm scent. And in the end it smells like smoky incense. My mind just wanders when I smell it, the perfume is complex and beautiful. I just feel that I have found new favorite scent for evening wear and I`m super happy I dared order it without any knowledge of how it was besides the description.  It is not easy finding cruelty free perfumes and it`s nice to know I don`t have to live without this luxury. I would not mind if my beloved other half wanted to steal some drops either. This scent would suit him perfectly as well♥
Here is the Illamasquas description of it:
TOP NOTES
Black Davana, Opium Flower and Belladonna bewitch the senses into uncontrollable lust and passion.

HEART NOTES
Poison Hemlock, Datura and Queen of the Night blossom, caress and kiss.

BASE NOTES
Aromas of Frankincense, Oud and Myrrh, addictively mesmerises and captures the senses.

When I get the money I probably will buy Illamasquas new fragrance Scarab too.

I almost forgot! I got a free creme blush with my order. And it`s a pretty color called Dixie.

Bad Girl

At this moment I am lying in the sofa feeling sorry for myself. The reason is that I have been attacked by a stupid cold. Had to stay home from work and all... Luckily I have the weekend off and I can hopefully get well soon by resting up.
I have had this post half ready for a while and I had about enough energy to finish it today. So here we go.

I am such a bad girl. Having laid my hand on new eye shadows and not shared swatches with you! I kind of have become addicted to Sleek`s eyeshadow palettes. I just love them, such good quality for almost no coins at all. Every one I own is just so well pigmented and have such pretty colors.
I think I might have started collecting them..
I usually buy them from smink.net because of the super fast and free shipping and because I always get my mascara from them too. But you can probably find them for less money somewhere else.

The palette next to my eye of Hörus mascara. Both are cruelty free brands♥

And as you can see is this palette called Bad Girl. Every shadow have a name, I like that.

Close ups

Lets see the upper row on my arm in day light.
You can see i have a primer on half of the swatch.

The shadow benefits from the primer. My primer is cheap, cruelty free and works super well. I use the mineral primer from e.l.f.. If you don`t have one you love I definitely recommend you to check it out. They have 40% at the moment so it`s even cheaper. Get to it by clicking Here!

And here you have the other row of colors.

I use this palette quite a lot and the shimmery ones are the favorite colors. Especially the green called Intoxicated.

Lime Crime Treasures

I have been receiving some packages in the mail lately and I haven`t really had the time to make post about them! I will try to be better. The weather outside is starting to look like fall and that means more computer time so hopefully I will have the time for it soon.
Now you will at least get to see my new Lime Crime gems.
I got my package after a little bit of a scare. The post office didn`t find it even though I had my little piece of paper telling me it was ready to be collected.
I was scared that someone had stolen it. Oh the horror!
After a couple of days later they called me and told me they had found it when they had done their weekly inventory. Thank the make-up god for that.
I just love getting Lime crime packages. I am a sucker for beautiful packaging and they always have every detail thought of.
This time the box had polka dots and neon colors.

I have worn all of my new lip products. The glitter is yet to be tested. I think I will try it in on my nails first!

Here I am with the Velevtine on my lips! And I just have to say I totally loved it. I had no troubles with the applying and it lasted sooo long on my lips. It dries completely matte and the color is stunning. The perfect red. With my pale skin and black hair I get a snow white look I love.
I think I will need to get myself a lip liner though or a kind of lip primer?  I bleeds a little bit. I need to get one for my red candy apple gloss anyways.
I must tell you that I have been toying with the idea of blending a bit of black eyeshadow with it. I think it would be fun to see if it looks good a tiny bit darker too for those days I crave darkness.

And this was me today with Poisonberry.
Absolutely amazing color too. The only thing that would concern me is that It`s not nice to apply on dry lips. The color looks very dark in the creases. Like I had today. I really need to drink more water... especially when I have eaten sushi with lots of salty soy sauce.

I have to apologize for my crappy photos. I have forgotten to charge the batteries to my Canon...
Maybe I will have the time and inspiration to photograph the lipsticks with my good camera again.

And her lips where red like blood

I did some late evening shopping.
I blame my other half you see...
He was like "wow, the dollar is really low now....If you need to buy anything, now is a good time"
And before you know it I was on the Lime Crime page putting stuff in the shopping cart!
Oh such treasures I soon have shipped my way ♥

I bought the snowsicle gloss. I think I will use it both as a layering gloss and on it`s own.
Look how pretty it sparkles!

I bought the Poisonberry lipstick I have been wanting for a year now.
Such an awesome color, hope it suits me.

& a Velvetine lipstick in Red Velvet, which is a matte color.
I really have grown to love matte lipstick after trying the ones from Sleek. I bet this is even better.

Last but not least I went for a glitter called Ophiucus. It is a multi-colored holographic!

I can`t wait until I get my stuff!!! I need them now! I don`t think they will arrive for about 2-3 weeks though....

Turn The Page

I am blogging today even if I am deadly tired. It`s not only me that are tired but my Christian as well. We believe  we have eaten to little food with iron in it and suffer the consequences from this right now. I was at the store earlier and bought  pumpkin seeds, buckwheat, Brussels sprouts and even a jar of vitamins... Go away stupid tiredness.
Earlier this morning I was at the gym lifting some weights and sweating like a crazy on the cross trainer. And Tuesday I went on a super long walk in the beautiful nature. Finally I have gotten back to my healthy ways of living after a somewhat stressful time, It feels so good. As you may remember I wrote some goals for this year and losing the weight I have put on these passed two years was one of them. If I keep it up now the goal can still be reached. It has nothing to do with a weird body image and a desire to be super skinny, I just want to be at the weight I feel suits me and I like the feeling of being healthy.

When my last payment dropped into my account I did a bit of shopping online. This week I got my packages all at once. I would have preferred them a bit more spread out to have many small happy moments but that never seems to happen to me.
My first package was from Eyes Lips Face and contained something I use on a everyday basis. Their super good mineral primer and their mineral foundation. They often have good deals and this time was no exception, buy one get one for free, was the deal this time. I am so happy that they are cruelty free and so unbelievable cheap. Buying mineral foundation somewhere else would ruin quite strained economy.

I have also treated myself to some Lush goodies.
Two solid perfumes, Vanillary and Tuca Tuca.
A new soap called Miranda that has a amazing scent of fruits and flowers.
My beloved Dark Angels facial scrub. And a small shower gel to test out.

I also could treat myself to some new clothes from Actual Pain when they had their 50% off.
I have the pentangle leggings in L and they are a bit big on me so I bought these leggings in a M. Unfortunately these are a bit to small....Fu****K. I guess they together with the dress I bought in Liverpool will have to act as motivation to stick to my healthy new diet and get me to exercise more.

This sweater did fit perfectly though ♥ Oh how I love it. I am wearing it right now. Perfect for lazy days and lounging in. I wanted the vest top too but is was of course sold out. Maybe the will have it in stock the next time.

By the way...I am so tired of my header. I wonder though how my next one is going to look like. I need to think of that a bit and try to get the time to fix a new one..

Sweet Poison

I finally got my order from the Poison Apple Apothecary. Oh this is scent heaven. You may call me crazy for buying perfumes and lotions online and not being able to smell them first. But it`s kind of fun and opening the bottles and jars are such a surprise. They never smell like I have imagined.

BLACK RING MAFIA is a body butter or as they call it "embalming creme"♥
Full bodied black currant, smoky vanilla bean, and hints of musk is the scent. It smells so yummy! Out of the two I got this is my favorite.

WHITE RABBIT is the other one!
This scent is sweet and creamy with notes of White Chocolate, Sassafras, Caramel, and Cognac. Also very nice.

I am about to run out of my old perfumes and buying something cruel is not an option. I like the perfumes from Lush but they don`t stay on my skin for as long as I would like. So I thought this was a perfect opportunity to try something new.
I got myself three perfume samples and this is how they are described:

GARDEN OF GRAVES
This scent was created to capture the essence of the great cemeteries of the south- namely Savannah, Charleston, and New Orleans. Not only are the cemeteries of these cities final resting places, they also hold a haunting aesthetic appeal through their design and architecture. The southern foliage mixes with the humid air to create a heady garden perfume all its own- sweet fresh earth scattered with brambles of white and red roses guarded by austere live oaks heavy with spanish moss.

BLOODLUST
This bold and powerful blend is a raging swirl of blood red rose, smoky patchouli, and deep musk. Patchouli is a potent essence that is said to help balance one's Earth and Fire energy, even though both may be strong forces. Rose is known for its anti-anxiety properties; together, this combination will aid in standing your ground and becoming a force to be reckoned with.

SWEET ALICE
"Curiouser and curiouser!" This blend evokes the sweetest qualities of our dear curious Alice in a blend of rich buttercream, tart black currants, a generous scoop of sugar, and strawberries growing wild throughout the forest.

I am totally in love with Sweet Alice. Oh my! I need to get a full bottle ♥ Bloodlust is my second favorite and Garden of graves is in the last place of the three, still I like that one a lot too.

Eyephoria

I bought myself a new eyeshadow last week. I had a coupon for 20% discount on a make up product and when I saw this beauty I could not resist! 119:- Sek is the full price at Kicks here in Sweden. IsaDora is a cruelty free brand and you can find it everywhere in Scandinavia. I also love IsaDoras glossy eyeliner, but more about that some other time.
I tried it out in the store and was amazed over the high pigmentation. It is kind of metallic in the finish too, something I have been looking for.

This collection comes in several colors and I think I might have to get a couple more... Really want Crome & Amethystic.

It even works well without any primer underneath.
I hope to use it tomorrow. Dark colors is not so appropriate at work.

Pitch black again

Today I finally got to color the horrible outgrowth in my hair. I always feel so trashy when I haven't done it in a while. I really hate coloring my hair too. It is truly one of the most boring things to do.
The color I use is Tints of nature. It`s not tested on animals, they have permanent black color and it have better ingredients than most of the ones you get hold of in the stores here in Sweden. Tints of nature are even Vegan.
You can buy it at a store called Life here but they charge you 209 sek for one box. Horrible!!! I get mine at Ebay around 70 sek per box. And it`s a good thing that I can get them cheaper, I use two boxes just to color my outgrowth...Yes I have a lot of hair on my little head :P I think the color stays on well in my hair, I haven`t felt any irritation of any sort and I think it smells OK.
I you want to read about the the color yourselves just click this link --> click <--

I would like to color it blueblack sometime but it don`t seem to exist any good ones out there that are cruelty free, permanent and in blueblack. Color it with semi permanent color is just way to much work for me. So I thought I would ask if any of my readers know of any hair color that suites my wishes??

Otherwise I have been a good girl and done my workout too. Today spinning was on the plan again. And tomorrow after work I will get my ass out for a run. Hopefully I can keep this up.
Here you have a pic of my tired face... That later got very, very irritated! Stupid people who goes to spinning class to look themselves in the mirror and chat with their friends can all go to hell... I don`t like fuck arounds at the gym. Why do they even bother. These girls didn`t even have on any resistance on their bikes and when the class was over they locked just as pretty and dry as when they came in...
I guess I can thank them for one thing though. All the anger made me workout even harder than normal.

Our evil world!

Something that upset me is how easily people trust everything that is said to them. Like the new law that makes it illegal to use animal testing on cosmetics and their ingredients. I guess it is easier that way. I`ve seen a lot of bloggers posts and spoken to many people that now believe that they now just can go into any shop and buy any cosmetic product and it will be a cruelty free one. Sadly not. Actually I got a sparkle of hope too when the new law became reality.  That sparkle of hope is crushed now.
Lush have made a couple of videos that in a simple way explains it better than me how the fight against animal testing still is not over by far. I will post them below.
And another problem is that most of the companies still is selling their products in China where they have a law that states that companies have to test their stuff to make sure they are safe before selling it there.
I guess our new law makes it more difficult for some companies and they will go cruelty free in the end  ...but for big super rich companies like for an example L'Oreal it is just a minor speed bump, they will just make products for the chinese market at one factory, test them there and make our cruelty free products at a factory somewhere else. So even if you buy a cruelty free product from L'Oreal your money still goes in to a company that tests. This is simply why I don`t buy products from "cruelty free" companies that is owned by companies that do preform tests. Like Body Shop or Urban Decay who is owned by L'Oreal. It makes me sick that they only care about money and feels no urge to do the right things. It`s not like it`s impossible to test ingredients in ways where no living thing with feelings are hurt.

It sometimes feels quite hopeless being someone trying to go all cruelty free. And I guess I have been fooled into buying cruel products without knowing because of lies & etc. But I will at least try my best and hope my little change here in life will save some animals from this horrific torture. It is not always a easy change to make but it is so worth the money and time spent on finding and trying out new stuff. I have for an example not found any shampoo or conditioner that is working well for my hair. Or a hair color that has the perfect colors and ingredients for me. And my boyfriend can`t stand any of the cruelty free toothpaste I have found. *sigh* But on the other hand I have discovered so many make up products and other stuff I absolutely love and will never give up unless they for some reason becomes cruel! I do believe it may be super hard for some of us to go cruelty free from one day to another. It may be easier to make changes little by little. And when stumbling on to problems with skin allergy and such I don`t see turning to cruel products while looking for better alternatives as failing! Changing your old habits can be hard and things take time. Sometimes the natural stuff in cruelty free products may give you allergies or other issues just like some of us is allergic to pollen or strawberries! I also think you should be aware that if you become involved in the search for cruelty free products will be thinking a lot more about what we actually are smearing all over our bodies, like chemicals and mineral oils!!!  Like my friend Anna wrote on her blog, although se was taking a bath with cruelty free products she really begun to wonder why she was sitting in chemicals! Read it in her post yourself  --> Click  <--
Also think it is OK to use all of your cruel products that you already have lying around at home. Throwing it all out is not very kind to the nature or our wallets ;)
The best part of it all I think is the bit of inner calm you get knowing you are on the right track. At least that is what I have experienced.

This video is quite funny too

I wonder if any of you readers that aren`t using cruelty free products is thinking of doing it or not. I would love to know why and your thoughts about it.

New-old stufffff

E.L.F. (Eyes lips face) had 48% off everything for 48 hours a while ago, so I took the opportunity to restock some of my basic make-up products. I bought 5 pots of my mineral foundation which I use every single day! Love it! And a second bronzing brush that I also think works super for applying blush.
The eyeshadow called Brownstone is my favorite for every day, natural eye make up. It`s so light and easy to blend and with the darker browns and you can turn it into a smokey eye in a second for evening wear. I got my last one in a free bundle and fell in love with it. Now it`s all empty!
The only new thing I bought this time was the concealer with brush. I really have a favorite concealer in the wet and wild quartet. But it seems like such a waste to buy it when I only use the pink concealer part and throw away the rest. Hopefully this is a good replacement.
What are your favorit products for every day use?  Anything from E.L.F.?

I also have to show you some cute new rings I got off Ebay. They where less than 10 sek. each and they both had free shipping. Me like!

Eye of hörus

This is my first day testing this mascara. And so far I am loving it. It have lasted me the whole day without any smudges under my eyes or anything else bad. The formula felt great when I applyed it. It gave me both the leanght and volume (as much as I can get on my own natural lashes that is) It feels great on, my lashes are soft and light. The wand even get to my tiny lashes in the corners. This is the best mascara I have tested. Yay!!!
If i change my mind about it you will hear from me again.

I don`t mind the gorgeous packaging either.

My before and after pictures aren`t the best but I was in a rush. Hopefully you will get the idea of how it works for me.

Naked, non-existent lashes looking down...

with mascara, looking down.

Naked lashes, looking up.

With mascara, looking up.

I also love that it`s suited for me who have lenses. It is also supposedly good for sensitive eyes and for those who have done a lash extention because of the very natural ingedients. And yeah, no parabens either!

Here in Sweden it costed me 199 Sek. No shpping from smink.net. I will absolutely buy it again.

Eye öf hörus

Hi everyone. Today we went to our first house showing. I was fun even though the broker didn`t seem to eager to sell us the house. I think she felt uncomfortable with us. Lol. I guess she don`t have many metal people as customers. I could feel her eyes on my outfit and heels. And she probably would not guess that Christian works as a nurse. But it don`t matter anyways because we will not make a bid this time. Hopefully the house we are seeing tomorrow is "the one".

I got a new package today too. It`s a new  cruelty free mascara. The last one from Nyx is not going to last for much longer and I don`t want to go without one again.
I got it from Smink.net. I love not having to wait longer than necessary. So if you live in Sweden and need something super fast I really recommend them.
My new mascara is called eye öf hörus.

This is what they say on their page:

Why we wont use animal hair

We don’t test on animals so we definitely don't want you to use animal hair while applying our cruelty-free cosmetics

There are so many benefits in using Synthetic brushes too:

  • They are easier to clean.
  • Synthetic brushes repel bacteria and dirt better than animal hair does.
  • Many people have allergies to animal hair.
  • Synthetic brushes shed less, if at all.
  • Synthetic brushes work with both cream and or powder makeup products.
  • Buying a synthetic brush is the only way that you can know for sure that no animal was harmed in the creation of the brush.
It sure sounds good. And tomorow after my spinning class I will test it out.
Have any of you tested it?

Rapunzel

The most of us dream of that long, shiny, soft hair. Including me. And I used to have it. Finding the right shampoo and conditioner after going cruelty free have proven to be a bit difficult.

I first started with the ones recommended to me at my visit to Lush. Sadly they don`t fit my hair at all. They where super hard to rinse out too. I could rinse forever and still end up with tons of product in my hair that made it sticky and really smelling too much. They where not especially economical either, expensive and I needed a lot of product.

Then my mother in law bought me this shampoo where you don`t need conditioner. It´s expensive too but when you don`t need conditioner or a lot of product this is a winner. Sadly it don`t fit my hair either. It gets super electric every time I use it. My hair sticks to my face and everything else. Really annoying >.<

Kind of tired of looking of new good cruelty brands I just bought the cheapest thing I could find at the grocery store that I knew where cruelty free. And this is actually not that bad a buy! Cheap and works ok for me. The reason I can`t keep buying it is because I have dry hair and scalp so after a while get dandruff. Bohoo, trust me, black hair and dandruff ain`t pretty.

For my birthday I got 75:- Sek to shop for at a web shop so I figured I`d use it on a hair oil. I found one from Lee Stafford that is cruelty free and not to over priced. I like it a lot so when I later on saw that Lee Stafford had shampoo and conditioner too I clicked them home at once.
I haven`t used them more than once but I got a good feeling about these. My hair got soft, super shiny and the dandruff disappeared!!! Hopefully this is my new shampoo and conditioner. They are not the cheapest but I did not need a lot of product which is good.
What shampoo and conditioner brand do you use?

Twenty fourth of January

You will have to look far and long for a more content girl than me right now. Ninni and I have been at the local spa and relax almost the whole day. I got my first massage and we have been in different saunas, weird showers and even been lying on a warm hamam stone. So lovely. We had fruit & chocolate plate with smoothies for lunch and afterwards we went for sushi. Yum. This was my birthday present from Ninni. Thank you so much again :)What a treat.
Even some shopping was done. Such a great day!
I got myself a new hand cream from Love & Toast in the scent honey/coconut. Super nice now that my hands are dry in this cold weather. And it is of course cruelty free. And as a bonus it don`t contain bad things for you like paraben and artificial colors.

And finally I found myself a new calender for 2013. The prettiest I could find was this one with images by Alfons Mucha.

I will finish off this post of a picture I took on my way home. Everything is covered in beautiful frost and the moon is glowing.
