Hi lovelies.

I am in a weird mood these days. I am happy yet restless with a sprinkle of anxiety.

I hope I can shake this weird feeling off soon and keep looking forward.

A while ago I decided to treat myself with some pretty things that are on the way to me as we speak. Soon I am back to my low season paycheck witch means I need to hold keep a tighter budget and really think about my purchases.

Not to feel to bad about my little shopping spree I have put in a double payment + a little bit more which was meant for next years down payment on my study loan. This means I no longer have any debt to the Swedish CSN.

This feels so utterly wonderful but sad at the same time. I had not been able to put in this extra money if my love and I had the possibilities to do as we had planned this fall. We had to cancel our trip to Edinburgh. I would rather spent my money on new memories and wonderful views of the Scottish landscapes but sometimes life has other plans. Hopefully we will be able to go some other time.

 

Today I received one of the treasures that I bought on my little shopping spree.

It is a beautiful ring perfect for the time of the year that soon lies upon us.

I just wanted something useless but pretty. I have worn it all day and can`t stop watching it transform under different lights and surroundings. The transforming is simply because of the mirror effect.

 

This first week after the vacation have been awful. Trying to get back on track with eating healthy, getting back to work and having a cold just haven`t made me full of energy.

Today was quite nice though. My mother in law and I went to the beach for some sun and cooling down in the crystal clear water. And later this evening a big thunder storm was roaming for a couple of hours. I just love thunder. After a while in the light of a candle I fell asleep listening to the rumble.

While I still enjoy the summer I can`t help thinking of the fall which is just around the corner. I love fall. The cool crisp air, the scent of woods and leaves, the colors, the dark nights, pumpkins!, the rain and cozy evenings with candles. Anyone other than me that longs for it?

 

Now over to something else than me babbling!

In Gothenburg on our last visit I found this beautiful and very useful thing.

It`s a smoke detector in the shape of a moth. How I want it! To bad it is a bit expensive for me at this time.

I guess I took a vacation not only from work but also from blogging. Oh well. By the visitor numbers and lack of comments I see that not many of you are staying inside reading blogs anyways. Tomorrow I am going back to work and the grey everyday life and routines. I can`t complain, after all I think my job is OK and I have had 4 awesome weeks. For once the weather have been super and I have enjoyed every second of it.

 

I thought I could show you my new top so this post will have some pictures and substance.

I found it on Etsy and I felt like it would make a great relaxed top for hot summer days.

Last trip to Gothenburg was not about shopping but as usual when I have decided not to spend money I find lots of stuff I can`t walk away from...

Like this book. I have seen it on other blogs and been wanting it. The price tag has kept me from buying it but when I saw it in a shop window for half the price I rushed in and got it in a heartbeat.

It so beautiful, not only on the outside but it is a joy turning the pages and enjoy the pictures and text too.

 

 

I am counting the days to my vacation and I am down to 3 now! 2 work days and 1 off, my day off is tomorrow so I am going to sleep for as long as I want. Can you think of anything nicer.

Tonight I did some internet shopping and this time it wasn`t shoes... I actually bought new bedding. I have been longing for some with a more luxurious feel to than the cheapo ones we use from Ikea.

These have been on my wish list forever but have never been prioritized. One can wonder why, bedding used every nights should be prioritized before high heels and jewelry used once in a while...

Now I only wish I had them already. Don`t they look fluffy and comfy.

 

 

I am blogging today even if I am deadly tired. It`s not only me that are tired but my Christian as well. We believe  we have eaten to little food with iron in it and suffer the consequences from this right now. I was at the store earlier and bought  pumpkin seeds, buckwheat, Brussels sprouts and even a jar of vitamins... Go away stupid tiredness.

Earlier this morning I was at the gym lifting some weights and sweating like a crazy on the cross trainer. And Tuesday I went on a super long walk in the beautiful nature. Finally I have gotten back to my healthy ways of living after a somewhat stressful time, It feels so good. As you may remember I wrote some goals for this year and losing the weight I have put on these passed two years was one of them. If I keep it up now the goal can still be reached. It has nothing to do with a weird body image and a desire to be super skinny, I just want to be at the weight I feel suits me and I like the feeling of being healthy.

 

When my last payment dropped into my account I did a bit of shopping online. This week I got my packages all at once. I would have preferred them a bit more spread out to have many small happy moments but that never seems to happen to me.

My first package was from Eyes Lips Face and contained something I use on a everyday basis. Their super good mineral primer and their mineral foundation. They often have good deals and this time was no exception, buy one get one for free, was the deal this time. I am so happy that they are cruelty free and so unbelievable cheap. Buying mineral foundation somewhere else would ruin quite strained economy.

 

 

I have had such a lovely day today. All weekend I have been lying down with a cold. Today was the first day I felt really well and tomorrow I will be ready for work again whether I like it or not...

My day started with breakfast and some sunbathing the balcony. I even got to read a lot. Summer is the time of year I read the most. I rarely get the inner calm to read the other seasons for some weird reason.

Later on I tried to get into my old shorts.... It`s time to get going with those losing weight plans...

I squeezed into a pair and put on a lose top to hide the muffin-top the shorts made on me and went on a looong walk with Christian. We both needed to get out. He for his back pains and I for some well needed sun and exercise. We stopped for a sushi lunch down town and on my way home I got myself a huge watermelon. One on my favorite things to eat at summertime. I also got myself a pair of shorts to wear until I can get into my old ones. Something that hit me when I was looking through the shops was how shitty the selection of shorts there are for us women. Tons of super short "sexy" shorts in all colors exists. But I had trouble finding a pair of longer, loose and comfy shorts. I guess we are supposed to be showing of all bits at all times. I found myself a pair of cool and comfy shorts on the men`s department instead.

 

Here they are, they look much better in real life than on the picture!

 

 

 

 

OK. So I am finally back. I did suddenly not have any time to write you a last post before going away to Liverpool. But here is the story. My love have some major back pains and when even sitting down is impossible he could not come with us on this trip. It is those things in life that you can`t control and of course we felt super sad and annoyed that it went this way. But when you can`t control it you can`t be to sad about it either. So I swallowed the sadness and said goodbye to my love and went on the trip with my parents by myself. It turned out really well. I haven't seen them in a long time and some quality time together was well needed. I have quite a lot of pictures and are currently working on a post about the trip. But in the meanwhile I thought I would entertain you with this post about my new wish list.

I have been eying the Killstar clothing line for a while but never have I been so eager to click home a lot of their stuff as I am now. But with a bit (read: a lot) of shopping in Liverpool and the possibilities that money can run very low in the household because of the back troubles I try to stop myself.

This dress I found at Felice Fawns blog and immediately wanted.

 

I finally got my order from the Poison Apple Apothecary. Oh this is scent heaven. You may call me crazy for buying perfumes and lotions online and not being able to smell them first. But it`s kind of fun and opening the bottles and jars are such a surprise. They never smell like I have imagined.

 

BLACK RING MAFIA is a body butter or as they call it "embalming creme"♥
Full bodied black currant, smoky vanilla bean, and hints of musk is the scent. It smells so yummy! Out of the two I got this is my favorite.

 

WHITE RABBIT is the other one!
This scent is sweet and creamy with notes of White Chocolate, Sassafras, Caramel, and Cognac. Also very nice.

 

I am about to run out of my old perfumes and buying something cruel is not an option. I like the perfumes from Lush but they don`t stay on my skin for as long as I would like. So I thought this was a perfect opportunity to try something new.

I got myself three perfume samples and this is how they are described:

The same day I found my beautiful second hand heels I passed by my favorite shop in town. I had as usual a nice chat with the wonderful shop owner and bought a new top from Spin Doctor that I have been eying for a while. I haven`t even tried it on before because I think it`s too pricy. But this time it was on the half off rack! Yay! I tried on the skirt that goes with it too but my size was sold out. Too bad because it looked so nice. Maybe I will look for it online.

E.L.F. (Eyes lips face) had 48% off everything for 48 hours a while ago, so I took the opportunity to restock some of my basic make-up products. I bought 5 pots of my mineral foundation which I use every single day! Love it! And a second bronzing brush that I also think works super for applying blush.

The eyeshadow called Brownstone is my favorite for every day, natural eye make up. It`s so light and easy to blend and with the darker browns and you can turn it into a smokey eye in a second for evening wear. I got my last one in a free bundle and fell in love with it. Now it`s all empty! 

The only new thing I bought this time was the concealer with brush. I really have a favorite concealer in the wet and wild quartet. But it seems like such a waste to buy it when I only use the pink concealer part and throw away the rest. Hopefully this is a good replacement.

I also have to show you some cute new rings I got off Ebay. They where less than 10 sek. each and they both had free shipping. Me like!

 

 

You will have to look far and long for a more content girl than me right now. Ninni and I have been at the local spa and relax almost the whole day. I got my first massage and we have been in different saunas, weird showers and even been lying on a warm hamam stone. So lovely. We had fruit & chocolate plate with smoothies for lunch and afterwards we went for sushi. Yum. This was my birthday present from Ninni. Thank you so much again :)What a treat.

Even some shopping was done. Such a great day!

I got myself a new hand cream from Love & Toast in the scent honey/coconut. Super nice now that my hands are dry in this cold weather. And it is of course cruelty free. And as a bonus it don`t contain bad things for you like paraben and artificial colors.

These recent days not much have happend. I have been working and tried to relax a bit with Christian. And two weeks ago we had a little one day trip to Gothenburg. I shopped some stuff on sale and from second hand shops. 

This tank top was half off. If I had a bit more money to spend I would have bought the Bathory hoodie they had too.

I am so tired. I don`t know if it is the christmas food I eat that makes me like this or if I don`t sleep enough. Blah! And I am sad to say so but the super slow laptop I have makes it a nightmare to blog. Everything takes about five times as long as it usually does. It leaves me feeling really angry & fustrated! Just to get pictures from my camera onto the computer can take about an hour... So I just ordered a new one. Hopefully I will get it next week. It was quite expensive >.< but I don´t want a crap one that has to be replaced soon again.

Here it is. Not that good looking but it is the inside that counts ;)

 

 

 

 

These days I have been a busy little bee. Not a moment to blog. But it is only positive stuff going on so I can`t complane.

Tuesday I had the day off besides a work dinner at the evening. So Christian and I spent the whole day together out in our little town.

This was my outfit of choice this day: my new, super warm winter coat and my beloved Demona boots. With some lacy purple leg to go with it.

I got my winter coat yesterday and I am so happy! Finally a coat without a big rip in the back^^ I even ordered it one size bigger than my usual so I really can pack on layers underneath. No more freezing for me!

Due to lack of light and any good place to take photos at home I tried to take a picture in the locker room at work.

It did not work out well... But you get an idea of the shape at least! It looks kind of a dress with a wide skirt. 

I used to have a coat similar to this but I sold it when I lost at lot of weight. And how I missed it. 

I love that it got an goth kind of look to it and it will look perfect with a par of heels. Espesially with my spine heels I think :)

 

 

I am sorry I am such a bad blogger. I really want to blog every day but reality dosen`t always want it that way...

This morning I at least slapped on my new lipgloss to try to show it off to you guys. I so not have the pretty pout I wish. But a girl can`t have it all can she;) 

It is my Twilight lipgloss from Mandikins that I also got my eyeshadows from. (post below)

Twilight is purple, a kind of pink base with lots of blue shimmer in it. I can`t wear warm colors even if I think they are deadly pretty, my skin tone needs cool colors to look good. And a purple with the right base will look just right on me.

So with that in mind Twilight just slipped into my virtual shopping cart .

My third workout this week is done and I am going at it again tomorrow. Feels good to be back in business^^

Slowly I am starting to feel like I am getting back in the shape I was before I hurt my ankle. Remind me to never hurt myself like that again ;)

Quite a while ago I made this winter inspired collage.

So please look away from the H&M nailpolish which aren`t cruelty free and just take it as color inspiration.

I made it for myself as a cheer-up-it`s-not-that-bad-with-winter-collage. I feelt sad about the summer that never came.

I have the boots but not the other stuff.

The furry bolero are from Necessary Evil, the polka dot sheer top are from H&M, eyeshadow palette is "Creature of the night" by Manic Panic, Skirt and velvet leggings is from ebay (don`t remeber the store)  

Last but not least the boots from Demonia called Bear. I love these boots. They make me look like I am a cartoon character with loooong legs^^ I almost are the same height as Chistian when I wear them.

The fur is of course fake ;)
